°µÍø½ûÇø in the Community: February 2021

February is Black History Month. Black History Month is an opportunity to commemorate the African diaspora, going beyond stories of racism and slavery to spotlight Black achievement throughout the world’s history. This year is especially important as it follows a very tumultuous year of protest and calls for racial equity and justice.

Each year at °µÍø½ûÇø DC, our students, staff, and community use this month to reflect on the Black experience throughout history as we work every day to ensure that we are building a better tomorrow for our posterity. Please continue reading below for updates on what °µÍø½ûÇø DC has been up to inside our classrooms and in the community during February.
