On Thursday, February 15, °µÍø½ûÇø DC students had the opportunity to perform with the The Global Leaders Program, in partnership with YOA Orchestra of the Americas!
°µÍø½ûÇøsters from both °µÍø½ûÇø DC KEY Academy and °µÍø½ûÇø DC Northeast Academy had the opportunity to learn from and perform alongside Musicians from Brazil, Colombia,Ìý°ä²¹²Ô²¹»å²¹, and the Dominican Republic came to Washington, D.C. to work with °µÍø½ûÇø DC students over a two-week period. Global Leaders assisted students with their form, mastering new songs, and learning the history of different music genres. In front of nearly 100 staff and family members, °µÍø½ûÇøSters performed an array of favorites, including “Glory” from the movie Selma, and captivated the audience at °µÍø½ûÇø DC College Preparatory.
